What Support Services do we offer?

The Supported Housing department provides housing support to a wide range of residents in dedicated projects, as well as a visiting housing support service to people in their own homes.

DIAC provides a free, specialist disability advice, information and support service.  The service is for disabled people and carers as well as local statutory and voluntary organisations. Our aim is to provide an accurate and on demand service about any disability related issue giving enquirers the information they need quickly, efficiently and accessibly. DIAC helps disabled people and carers with information about other service providers and supports them to access these services and receive the help needed to lead an independent life. DIAC also works in partnership with a number of organisations to enable disabled people and carers to meet with them in our fully accessible centre.

Money Problems

National Organisations: The Consumer Credit Counselling Service has a free confidential advice service for people in debt. They can help you prioritise debts and liaise with creditors on your behalf. They also offer an online counselling service. Call 0800 1381111  or  visit www.cccs.co.uk

 For staff helping patients with mental health issues who have debt problems. Go to: www.mhdebt.info  A new booklet - 'Final Demand' has been produced for health workers to help them deal with patients debt issues, supported by a website of resources and links
